Bill: HR 875

I know it's been a long time since I've posted but this got my attention and I need your help.
There is a bill that is being reviewed right now (HR 875 and S 425) that will hurt all natural, organic or even just small farmers, gardeners, etc.
They want to track and monitor all food and food ingredients, and farms will be subject to all the Laws in the Act applying to food establishments. This bill also gives the "Administrator" rights to inspect food establishments and detain and seize any food that he/she has reason to believe is unsafe. And anybody that resists or violates the food safety law "may be assessed a civil penalty by the Administrator of not more than $1,000,000 for each such act."

We need to do our part in trying to stop these bills from going any farther. HR 875 has been assigned to both the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Agriculture. We need to contact our elected representatives and the members of the two committees to ask that they oppose HR 875.

I would also recommend reading the bills (links below) to see for yourself what is trying to get passed.

Here is the bill HR 875

Here is the bill S 425

Also, HERE is an article on it at the Farmers to Consumers Legal Defense Fund website.
